This page explains how to delete your Klaq account (an app by Gabriel Henrique Silva) and what happens to your data.
How to ask
- Open the deletion form (button above) or email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Klaq account".
- Tell us the email you use to sign in to Klaq. If the request comes from a different address, we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
- You get an email reply once the deletion is complete, within 30 days.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account: your data stays on the server until you ask for deletion.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in (email and password).
- Your profile: name, @username, bio, avatar color and privacy setting.
- Your history of movies, series and episodes, with dates, ratings and rewatches.
- Your lists ("Want to watch") and your bookshelf, with progress, dates and ratings.
- Who you follow, who follows you, follow requests and blocks.
- Your reviews and replies. Replies other people left on your reviews are deleted with them.
- The reports you made and the record of your posts.
- The notification tokens of your devices.
What may be kept for a while
- Backups: the database has encrypted backup copies, kept for up to about 6 months. They are only used to restore the service after a failure and are discarded automatically at the end of that period.
- Legal obligations: if the law requires some data to be kept, it is kept only for the required period and only for that purpose.
- On your device: the app keeps a local copy of your library. It is only removed when you uninstall the app.
